The Dixielanders Traveling Show Band

The Dixielanders Traveling Show Band with much more than one would expect from a trombone, banjo, and tuba, this group features dynamic vocals, a swinging, tailgating trombone, peerless banjo stylings, and a jubilant, rocking, two-beat bass horn. Led by vocalist, and entertainer, trombonist, Matthew Zimnoch, their performances are characterized by a lively, vibrant style and are noted for their uplifting effect on audiences. The Dixielanders Traveling Show Band draws its repertoire from not only Traditional Jazz and Dixieland favorites, but also Sing-a-longs, Tin Pan Alley, Early Favorites, and Authentic New Orleans Jazz. Our songs are carefully chosen to create shows designed to spark the imagination and evoke the wonderful memories of an era gone by when live entertainment was up-close and personal. Come join the fun and excitement as the music and memories carry you back to a simpler time and if you know how to whistle, hum, or croon, you are sure to pick up a souvenir from our show.

Words&Music

Words&Music was forged informally in 2006 with the mission of presenting a living composer’s magnum opus for vocal quartet and piano—Ned Rorem’s Evidence of Things Not Seen. In the process of tackling this major work, the group found its name, identity, and continuing mission: to probe the dynamic and compelling unity of two “languages” words AND music—through the versatile medium of a vocal chamber ensemble. Words&Music will bring to Bordentown one of their popular programs of great American classics like their popular renditions of Ella Fitzgerald standards.
